Registration for Summer Session begins Monday, June 20, 2022 for City Taxpayers and Thursday, June 23, 2022 for Non-City Taxpayers. Activity Guide/activities will be available for viewing starting June 10, 2022.

 We are a “High Five” organization and offer many programs, activities and workshops for preschool, children and youth. You can drop-in weekly or register for a whole session. Or, visit our Youth Belleville page for activities for students in Grade 6 and up.

Mini Scientists

Little learners are captivated by science! Children learn by doing, feeling, touching and examining. The science program will give them the opportunity to learn through different experiments in a hands-on learning environment.

Art - Muck & Mess

Your child will discover the world of arts and crafts. Your child will socialize with other children all while sparking their imagination.

Kindergarten Readiness

This is a skill development based program to teach both gross motor and fine motor skills through physical literacy, art, science and more in a play based approach. This program is great to prepare your little ones for their first year in school. Please note this is a unparented class. Please bring a snack and drink to each class.

Artful Antics

Get those creative juices flowing each week while you learn and create a new masterpiece! No previous art experience needed.

Science Explorers

Explore a variety of scientific topics each week in this hands-on learning environment. 

Soccer Skills & Drills

Join us each week for a fun recreational soccer program. This program will be offered in Spring 'B' in two age groups (4 to 8 years and 9 to 13 years). This program focuses on conditioning, skill development and game play. No previous soccer experience needed. All skill levels welcome.

Child/Youth Basketball

This program is an unstructured pick-up basketball game. It's a pay as you play activity. Bring your pals, meet new friends and practice your skills!

ActivityDescription

Artist Hub

Youth will learn about a variety of visual art mediums each week and take home their masterpieces! Topics include but are not limited to clay, acrylic painting, and more. No previous visual art experience needed.

STEM-tastic

Each week your Youth will explore a new STEM activity using their problem solving skills.

Open Gym

Must be 10 years+ to come without a parent. The gym is available for all ages to play sports like basketball or floorball and access to equipment may be limited.

Summer Camps

 Summer Day Camp descriptions 
ActivityDescription
Summer Spectacular Camp

This camp is for children ages 6 years and up to enjoy traditional camp games, crafts and other fun activities all summer long. Children will participate in daily gym time for sports and games along with swimming at the QSWC. This camp is located in the Multipurpose Room at QSWC.

Wacky Water Sports Camp

Does your child love the water? This camp is designed for children ages 8 to 13 years who love to swim. Participants will enjoy daily traditional camp activities such as crafts, games, and sports, in addition to learning new water skills. This program is run by certified Aquatic Staff. Participants must have completed Swim Kids 5 or successfully complete the Swim to Survive standards (roll into the water, tread water for 1 minute and swim 50 metres). Attend a public swim in advance to ensure you can pass the Swim to Survive standards. This camp is located at Kinsmen Community Outdoor Pool.

Summer Extravaganza Camp

The variety of daily programming in this camp is sure to have your kids wanting to come back each week! This camp includes activities such as crafts, games and sports. This camp is for ages 4 to 11 years. This camp is located at Parkdale community Centre.

Youth Belleville

Youth Belleville offers programs run by youth for youth in the Youth Room; designed to make teens feel valued and empower them to help shape their future and the world around them. Become a member and help determine activities and events that can be held for youth in the Youth Room and at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre. Learn more about Youth Belleville and volunteering opportunities on your Youth Belleville page. Apply to become a volunteer online with the Youth Volunteer Application form.

Youth volunteering

Youth must be 14 years of age and over to be a volunteer at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre. Youth 18 years of age and over will need a police check with vulnerable sector screening.
