50+ Centre Annual Membership
The 50+ Centre at the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre offers a wide variety of art classes, games and social events. The 50+ Annual Membership is $10.50 per person. To get your membership, call 613-966-4632. Purchase your 50+ Centre Membership.
Volunteer Opportunities
Adults 18 years of age and over will need a Vulnerable Sector Check current within the last 6 months to volunteer. The 50+ Centre has new volunteer opportunities. If you are looking to get involved in your community, check out the volunteer positions below.

Save the date! The Older Adult Information Fair will be back Wednesday September 9, 2026! This is a great day of showcasing many amazing services available to the Older Adult Community Members in our area.

Recreation Fee Assistance
If you live in Belleville, you can apply for recreation subsidies and fee assistance. We have subsidies available for 25% to 75% off the cost of the program based on income. The subsidy expires on June 30 of each year.

Withdraw/refund information
If you are unable to attend your scheduled class please call 613-966-4632 to withdraw 24 hours in advance. This opens up a spot for another participant on the waitlist. Learn about our withdraw policy on our registration page.

Belleville 50+ Centre is open Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for those with a annual 50+ Centre Membership. An annual membership is $10.50 per person.

V.O.N. Falls Prevention (Tues 1:30-3:30 p.m. |
|
Staying active is an important part of staying healthy and independent. V.O.N. SMART classes teach seniors how to be safe, keep moving and improve strength and balance at any fitness level. SMART is ideal for clients who find it hard to take part in traditional exercise classes due to low mobility or poor health. SMART Fall Prevention classes also include an educational component, in which the common reasons for falls and intervention strategies are discussed. |
Bid Euchre (Mon 1:15-4 p.m.) |

Bid euchre is similar to euchre, but it introduces an element of bidding in which the trump suit is decided by which player bids to take the most tricks. The primary differences are the number of cards dealt (8 instead of 5), absence of any undealt cards, the bidding and scoring process, and the addition of a no trump declaration. It is a partnership game for four players and is played with two decks of 24 cards each. Beginners are welcome. |
Artists Collective (Tues 9:30-11:30 a.m.) |

Do you need a friendly place to get creative with other artists? Join this group of artists from beginner to experienced. You will have the opportunity to learn from our experienced volunteer Gail. Supplies available if needed. |
Bridge experienced (Fri 1-4 p.m.) |

Are you and avid Bridge player? Then this program is for your! Join other experienced bridge players and enjoy an afternoon of socializing and playing your favourite game. |
Deaf Seniors (Mon 10 a.m.-1 p.m.) |

This is a a great opportunity to enjoy a morning of games and socializing with older adults from our deaf community. A 50+ Centre membership is required for this program. |
Stitches (Wed 9 a.m.-12 p.m.) |
|
People get together to work on their knitting, crocheting, quilting, sewing, embroidery, cross stitch, etc., projects while visiting and learning from others. There are 2 sewing machines, some pattern books, a few knitting needles and some yarn. All levels are welcome. |
Mah Jongg (Wed 1-4 p.m.) |
|
Mah Jongg is a rummy-like game played with tiles rather than cards and is played with four or five players. The object of Mahjong is to make the tiles match up with a hand on a Mahjong card. Beginners are welcome. A 50+ Centre membership is required for this program. |
Scrapbooking (Thurs 1-4 p.m.) |
|
Come to work on your own photo pages or cards while visiting and learning from others. There are some supplies available for you to try scrapbooking or card making before purchasing your own materials. All levels are welcome. |
Parkinson's Keep Moving program (Tues 11:15 a.m.- 11:45 a.m.) |
|
The Belleville-Quinte Parkinson Chapter offers this 30 minute workout of BIG movements lead by QSWC Health and Wellness Instructors. The focus of the program is to benefit those with Parkinson disease by using exercises specific to Parkinson’s Disease. |
Parkinson's Social Hour (Tues 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m.) |
| The Belleville-Quinte Parkinson Chapter offers this social time for persons with Parkinson's and their caregivers. Enjoy refreshments, socializing and sometimes a guest speaker. |
Cooking with Chef Jesse - zoom (3rd Thurs 2-2:30p.m.) |

The 50+ Centre has partnered with Quinte Gardens and their wonderful chef, Chef Jesse, to offer an interactive virtual cooking class. All supplies are provided by Quinte Gardens. |
Mexican Train Dominoes (Tues 1-3 p.m.) |

Join us Tuesdays for a fun game of Mexican Train Dominoes. All skill levels welcome in this friendly engaging gameplay. Supplies provided. |
C.A.R.P. (2nd Tues 2-4p.m.) |
| The mission of C.A.R.P. is to advocate for better healthcare, financial security, and freedom from ageism. Members engage in polls and petitions, email their elected representatives, connect with local chapters and share stories and opinions on urgent issues. Public and members are invited to join monthly meetings at the QSWC. Meet new people and enjoy the speakers, discussions and engagements that follow. A 50+ Centre membership is required for this program. |

| Crokinole is a popular table top game with elements of shuffleboard and curling. Join in this popular game, meet new people and enjoy some friendly competition. |
Learn to Speak French - Beginner (Mon 8:45-9:45 a.m.) |
| For Beginners - Have you always wanted to learn French, or practice what you may have learned years ago? This beginners Learn French class consists of basic phrases and proper annunciation for conversational French. Vous parlerez Français en un rien de temps! |

| Looking to build on your French skills? Our class is designed for those ready to expand their knowledge with advanced phrases and improved pronunciation. Gain confidence in conversational French. |
Walking Group (Wed 1-3 p.m.) |

Join us in the indoor track at 1 p.m. for an instructor led warm-up stretch. Walk at your own pace, meet new friends! Coffee Social time is included from 1:30-3 p.m. in the Youth Room. |
Drumming Group (Tues 4:30.pm.-6:30 p.m.) |

Bring your Djembe Drum, or borrow one of our percussion instruments and join in with our drumming group. No previous experience required. |
Tech Talks and Tech Support with Jordan (Thurs 1:30-3 p.m.) |
| The first part of "Tech Talks" is designed to be an inspirational, educational and motivational learning resource about technology for non-techies. After the "talk", there will be time dedicated to supporting your specific needs and questions with your devices. Bring your device and your questions with you. Pretty soon you'll be an expert with your phone and tablet. |
