Please note the updates and changes below are based on the Provincial Stay at Home Order being lifted and as restrictions allow. The dates below are targets only and are subject to change. We will do our very best to keep you up to date as soon as we have additional information.

Registration for recreation programs

Due to the provincial Stay at Home Order now in effect until at least May 20, 2021, the Recreation, Culture & Community Services Department has had to make changes to the upcoming Spring "B" session. Look for the online Spring B Activity Guide available by noon on May 20, 2021.
  • Registration will take place on May 25, 2021, for City Taxpayers and May 27, 2021, for Non-City Taxpayers (online and by phone).
  • The session will run from May 31 to June 25
  • Fitness and activity classes will be offered via Zoom and in person. If we aren't able to open to in-person, then all programs will be offered online through Zoom.
  • Aqua-Fit classes will begin May 25 for existing registrants (now 5 weeks instead of 7 weeks - clients have received a credit on their account for two classes)
  • Unfortunately, the spring swim lessons have been cancelled. All clients have been contacted with credits on account. For those wishing to get a refund, please call the office at 613-966-4632
  • Drop-in private swimming lessons will be offered from May 31 to June 25 (registration May 25 & 27). These will be offered as a private or semi-private session.
  • Aquatic Leadership Courses are being rescheduled, participants will be contacted directly with the new dates
  • Recreational swims and Pickleball will begin May 31, with registration taking place starting May 25 for the following week
  • Spring "A" virtual programs have been extended by 2 classes where possible.

Ice and floor bookings

Provided the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre is permitted to open, we will target ice and floor bookings to start up again the week of May 25, 2021.

Outdoor sports fields and parks bookings

Provided the provincial restrictions are lifted, we will target outdoor sports fields and park bookings to start the week of May 25, 2021

Harbour operations

Meyers Pier and Victoria Park Harbours will reopen as soon as possible once the provincial Stay at Home Order has been lifted and restrictions allow. Boaters will be contacted directly with a reopening date.

Glanmore National Historic Site

So long as the Stay at Home Order is lifted, Glanmore National Historic Site plans to reopen on Tuesday, May 25, 2021. Visit the Glanmore website for more information.

The Community Archives of Belleville and Hastings County

Once the Order is lifted, the Community Archives of Belleville and Hastings County plans to reopen as soon as possible. Visit the Community Archives website for more information.
