The Recreation, Culture and Community Services Department has published an online Activity Guide highlighting the recreation programs that will be available for its Winter Session “B” that starts the week of February 22, 2021 and runs for five weeks to March 27, 2021. There is a range of programs that will help support both your physical and mental wellbeing.

Registration will kick off on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. for City Taxpayers and on Thursday, February 11, 2021 for Non-City Taxpayers. At this time, all programs in Winter Session “B” will be offered virtually through Zoom or on the telephone. Registration will be available online through the QSWC website and by telephone at 613-966-4632. In person registration will not be available.

Winter Session “B” will feature our popular fitness class sessions offered through Zoom and our new Fun on the Phone program for older adults offered in collaboration with the Belleville and Quinte West Community Health Centres and the Quinte West Public Library. Our free Speaker Series and Learn and Create programs will be back this session with informative and creative sessions that will be sure to inspire you.

Provided provincial restrictions are lifted and the facility is able to reopen, registration for recreational swims, aquafit, aquatic leadership programs, pickleball and table tennis will be open up on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 8:30 a.m.

The online Activity Guide can be accessed through the website at qswc.ca. Clients can view the information online, print it out, contact the Recreation, Culture and Community Service Department at 613-966-4632 or email us to request a printed copy. Moving to an online platform has been necessary due to the ever changing situation with the COVID-19 pandemic. Changes can now be made in real time so that clients have the most up to date information and program offerings.

Registration in advance is required for all programs. Clients are encouraged to visit the QSWC.CA website for new COVID-19 safety protocols, entrance guidelines and frequently asked questions.
