BELLEVILLE ON – The Recreation, Culture and Community Services Department is excited to share the recreation program offerings available for Fall Session “A”. Registration will kick off Monday, August 30, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. for City Taxpayers and Thursday, September 2, 2021 for Non-City Taxpayers. Registration will be available online through the QSWC website, by telephone at 613-966-4632 and by appointment only for in-person registration.

The session runs from September 13 to October 22 (6 weeks) for fitness and wellness programs, September 13 to October 31 (7 weeks) for aquafit programs and September 20 to December 12 (11 or 12 weeks) for swimming lessons. Our programs are designed to help promote physical and mental wellbeing, with activities for all stages, ages and abilities. The online Activity Guide is now available with all of the details for this next session.

Programs continue to be planned around existing provincial restrictions and with public health and safety protocols in mind.

Fall Session “A” features:

  • Fitness classes offered in-person (QSWC and local parks) and through Zoom
  • Children and youth programs offered in-person (QSWC and local parks) and through Zoom
  • Swimming lessons, Aqua Fit and Advanced Aquatic Leadership programs offered at the Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre
  • Fun on the Phone program for older adults offered in collaboration with the Belleville and Quinte West Community Health Centres and the Quinte West Public Library
  • Free Speaker Series, Armchair Travel and Learn and Create programs offered through Zoom

The online Activity Guide can be accessed through the website at qswc.ca. Clients can view the information online, print it out, contact the Recreation, Culture and Community Service Department at 613-966-4632 or email us to request a printed copy. Moving to an online platform has been necessary due to the ever changing situation with the COVID-19 pandemic. Changes are now made in real time so that clients have the most up to date information and program offerings.

Registration in advance is required for all programs. Clients are encouraged to visit the QSWC.CA website for new COVID-19 safety protocols, entrance guidelines and frequently asked questions.
