Spring Program Registration
We have separated our winter recreation program registration (land based activities) and our aquatics registration. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. each day listed below. This start time includes in-person, phone and online registrations.
Spring Recreation Program Registration (land based activities, not including aquatic programs)
- March 18 for City Taxpayers and March 21 for Non-City Taxpayers. Both days start at 8:30a.m.
- Activity Guide out March 13 (8:30a.m.) online and at the customer service desk.
- Session runs April 9 to June 17, 2024.
Note: Please view your receipt for specific weeks your classes aren't running due to holidays or special events in the building. Please bring clean indoor shoes to help keep our program spaces clean during inclement weather months.

Preschool Play Zone
|
This new program is a drop-in program for your little one to explore and play with others. Think of this program like an open gym but for preschool kids only. Our instructor will put out equipment/circuits to enjoy and you and your kids can free play as you wish. Location: Gymnasium.

Mini Scientists
|
Little learners are captivated by science! Children learn by doing, feeling, touching and examining. The science program will give them the opportunity to learn through different experiments in a hands-on learning environment. Location: Preschool Room.

Art - Muck & Mess
|
Your child will discover the world of arts and crafts. Your child will socialize with other children all while sparking their imagination. Location: Preschool Room.
|
Mini Movers |
This program is designed to introduce gross motor skills through climbing, balance, movement and spatial awareness through games, circuits and more. Location: Gymnasium.
|
Kindergarten Readiness |
This is a skill development based program to teach both gross motor and fine motor skills through physical literacy, art, science and more in a play based approach. This program is great to prepare your little ones for their first year in school. Please note this is a unparented class. Please bring a snack and drink to each class. Location: Preschool Room.

Move N' Groove |
Move n’ Groove is a fun interactive kinder gym-style program in the Preschool Room that encourages the development of gross motor, all through the magic of music and FUN! Location: Gymnasium.

Movers & Shakers |
This program focuses on music and the importance of interaction between children, their peers, and their caregivers. They will be introduced to singing, dancing and musical instruments. Location: Preschool Room.
|
ABC's & 123's |
This program is to help children learn and become familiar with the letters of the alphabet and numerals. Each week they will do mini-activities and games centered around letters and numbers. Location: Preschool Room.

Paint & Play |
Explore the art of painting with weekly classes. Come with your friends or make new friends as we enjoy paint and play together. Location: Preschool Room

JR Soccer Skills & Drills
|
Join us each week for a fun recreational soccer program. This program will be offered in two age groups (4 to 8 years and 9 to 13 years). This program focuses on conditioning, skill development and game play. No previous soccer experience needed. All skill levels welcome.

Sporty Kids
|
This program focuses on getting kids active in a variety of ways including camp style games, sports and skill development. Each week you will practice sport specific skills, fitness and game play with the help of our instructor.

Kitchen Crew
|
You will learn a variety of basic cooking skills, kitchen safety and enjoy eating your creations. Don't forget to bring a container to each class for any leftovers.

Home Alone Course (Canada Safety Council)
|
This one-day program offers basic first aid and safety skills for youth 10-13 years old. Participants learn about being safe when they are without the direct supervision of a parent/guardian both at home and in their community. Candidates will receive a workbook at the start of the course and a certificate upon successful completion. Students are asked to bring a pen/pencil, snacks/beverages and a lunch.

Youth Room (Grade 6-12)
|
Times and dates vary based on staff/volunteer availability each month. Drop-in is free for youth in Grade 6-12. Enjoy games such as pool, air hockey, ping pong, video games and more.
Become a volunteer in the Youth Room and gain community service hours. Apply to be a volunteer on our website.

Artist Hub
|
Youth will learn about a variety of visual art mediums each week and take home their masterpieces! Topics include but are not limited to clay, acrylic painting, and more. No previous visual art experience needed.

Teen Recreational Volleyball
|
This is a co-ed program ideal for beginners or players who would like a non-competitive game just to have fun and be active. There is a no spiking/attacking rule.

STEM-tastic
|
Each week your Youth will explore a new STEM activity using their problem solving skills.

(NEW) Babysitting Course (Canada Safety Council) |
This course is designed for youth 12-15 years old to learn first aid and caregiving skills for children in a variety of age groups, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies. Students will receive a manual, and upon successful completion of the course, a certificate. Students are asked to bring a pen, lunch, beverages and a doll or teddy bear for diapering. |

Drop-in sports & game descriptions
Activity | Description |
Family/Open Gym
|
Must be 10 years+ to come without a parent. The gym is available for all ages to play sports like basketball or floorball and access to equipment may be limited.
|
Family Futsal
|
Futsal is a variation of indoor soccer that is played with a smaller ball with less bounce than a regular ball. Played with boundaries like the outdoor game but has more of an emphasis on improvisation, creativity, and quickness of play. Shorter timed games are played in teams of four, plus a goalkeeper per side, and all games will have a referee. Family Futsal encourages all age groups with children playing with siblings, parents, and other similar ages.

|

All birthdays must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance. The only date options available will be the ones listed during the registration process. Dates are based off of staff availability, space availability and events happening in the building.

Youth Belleville
Youth Belleville offers programs run by youth for youth in the Youth Room; designed to make teens feel valued and empower them to help shape their future and the world around them. Become a member and help determine activities and events that can be held for youth in the Youth Room and at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre. Youth employment with the City of Belleville
Throughout the year the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre (City of Belleville municipality) hires for a variety of recreation positions from instructors, lifeguards, facility staff and more! Check the City of Belleville employment page regularly for new postings. Apply online for all positions you're willing to work.
Youth volunteering
Youth must be 14 years of age and over to be a volunteer at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre. Youth 18 years of age and over will need a police check with vulnerable sector screening.
