Spring is in the air and the Recreation, Culture and Community Services Department has published an online Activity Guide highlighting the recreation programs that will be available for its Spring Session “A”. This session starts the week of April 6, 2021 with most programs running for five weeks to May 7, 2021. Aquafit and swimming lessons will run for ten-week sessions from April 6, 2021 to June 25, 2021. There is a variety of programs for all ages, stages and abilities and will help support physical and mental wellbeing.

Registration will kick off on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. for City Taxpayers and on Thursday, March 25, 2021 for Non-City Taxpayers. Registration will be available online through the QSWC website and by telephone at 613-966-4632. In-person registration will not be available.

 Spring Session ”A” features:

  • Fitness classes offered in person and through Zoom
  • Children and youth programs
  • Table Tennis
  • Fun on the Phone program for older adults offered in collaboration with the Belleville and Quinte West Community Health Centres and the Quinte West Public Library
  • Free Speaker Series and Learn and Create programs
  • Aquafit, swimming lessons and advanced aquatic leadership programs

Recreational swims and Pickleball are available for registration in one week increments with registration opening up each Tuesday for the following week’s activities.

Enhanced COVID-19 safety measures are in place at the facility and the public is reminded that a face covering and two metre physical distancing is also required while waiting outside in line.

 The online Activity Guide can be accessed through the website at qswc.ca. Clients can view the information online, print it out, contact the Recreation, Culture and Community Service Department at 613-966-4632 or email us to request a printed copy. Moving to an online platform has been necessary due to the ever changing situation with the COVID-19 pandemic. Changes can now be made in real time so that clients have the most up-to-date information and program offerings.

Registration in advance is required for all programs. Clients are encouraged to visit the QSWC.CA website for new COVID-19 safety protocols, entrance guidelines and frequently asked questions.
