BELLEVILLE ON – The Recreation, Culture and Community Services Department is gearing up for their Spring Session “B” recreation programs which will run from May 31 to June 25, 2021. The online Activity Guide is now available with all of the details for the next session. There is a variety of programs for all ages, stages and abilities and will help support physical and mental wellbeing.

Registration will kick off Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. for City Taxpayers and Thursday, May 27, 2021 for Non-City Taxpayers. Registration will be available online through the QSWC website and by telephone at 613-966-4632. In-person registration will not be available.

Due to the extended provincial Stay at Home Order now in effect until at least June 2, 2021, the Recreation, Culture and Community Services continues to make adjustments to programs in light of current restrictions.

 Spring Session “B” features:

  • Fitness classes offered through Zoom
  • Youth programs offered through Zoom
  • Fun on the Phone program for older adults offered in collaboration with the Belleville and Quinte West Community Health Centres and the Quinte West Public Library
  • Free Speaker Series and Learn and Create programs

At this time, recreational swims, aquafit, aquatic leadership programs, Pickleball and table tennis are on hold until further notice. Stay tuned for more details as provincial restrictions are lifted and the facility is able to reopen.

The online Activity Guide can be accessed through the website at qswc.ca. Clients can view the information online, print it out, contact the Recreation, Culture and Community Service Department at 613-966-4632 or email us to request a printed copy. Moving to an online platform has been necessary due to the ever changing situation with the COVID-19 pandemic. Changes can now be made in real time so that clients have the most up to date information and program offerings.

Registration in advance is required for all programs. Clients are encouraged to visit the QSWC.CA website for new COVID-19 safety protocols, entrance guidelines and frequently asked questions.
