Fitness classes (Zoom)

The following fitness classes will be provided through Zoom. Registration is required. Register online or call 613-966-4632. There is no cost.

August 10, 17, 24 - 9:30 a.m. - Older Adult (50+) (7701)
Join Amber every Monday for a fun 30 minute older adult fitness class! Get fit in this low intensity program that includes a cardio warm-up, muscle conditioning, balance work and stretching. There will be modifications for seated and standing exercises so everyone can get a great workout. Equipment may include weights (soup cans, water bottles, etc).

August 10, 17, 24 - 10:30 a.m. - Family (7689)
Join Amber on Mondays for a 30 minute family fitness class! Have fun and get moving in this "modified for all ages" program. Whether you are a parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle, you and the little's in your life will enjoy working out together! Only adults have to register and an adult participate with children.

August 10, 17, 24 - 11:15 a.m. - Youth (7690)
Join Amber every Monday for a fun 30 minute fitness class! This program will include a cardio warm-up, muscle conditioning, balance work and stretching. There will be modifications for each exercise so everyone can get a great workout. Equipment may include weights (soup cans, water bottles, etc).

August 10, 17, 24 - 4:30 p.m. - Adult (7688)

Fitness in the park

The following fitness classes will be provided at either Zwicks Park or Riverside Park. Registration is required. Register online or call 613-966-4632. There is no cost.

August 4, 11, 18, 25 - 10:00 a.m. (7695)
Join Amber Tuesday mornings at Zwicks Lions Pavillion for a fun 30 minute fitness class! Get fit in this low intensity program that includes a cardio warm-up, muscle conditioning, balance work and stretching. There will be modifications for seated and standing exercises so everyone can get a great workout. You will need to bring your own mat, but weights and resistance bands will be provided. Please only register for the days you will be attending as spaces are limited.

August 5, 12, 19, 26 - 12:00 p.m. - Stretching (7702)

Come enjoy nature and fresh air in our 30mins stretch class with Amber at Zwicks Lions Pavillion. You will lengthen muscles in your body and leave feeling relaxed, more flexible and ready for the day. Please bring your own mat and if possible a dog leash, house coat strap or yoga strap. Make sure to meet Amber at the Zwicks Lions Pavillion. Please only register for the days you will be attending as spaces are limited.

August 6, 13, 20, 27 - 7:00 a.m. (7693)

Join Amber on Thursday mornings at Riverside park, for a fun 30 minute fitness class! This program will include a cardio warm-up, muscle conditioning, balance work and stretching. There will be modifications for each exercises so everyone can get a great workout. You are required to bring your own mat and we will provide weights and resistance bands. Please make sure to meet Amber at the Riverside Pavilion. Please only register for the days you will be attending as spaces are limited.

Youth Job and Volunteer Roundup (Facebook Live)

July 7, 14, 21, 28 and August 4, 11, 18, 25 – 1:00 pm: Youth Job & Volunteer Round Up
Join QSWC every Tuesday at 1:00p.m. on Facebook Live for the Student Job and Volunteer Roundup. Each week we will give a brief overview of jobs and volunteer positions around the Bay of Quinte region that students can apply for and where to apply. Links to locations where students can apply will be added to the comment section of each video by the end of the day.

QSWC Fit Breaks (lesson plan and You Tube)

July 8, 15, 22, 29 and August 5, 12, 19, 26 – Join us for the QSWC Fit Breaks. Each Wednesday, a new exercise is added for youth, adults and older adults.

Facebook Live Fitness Q & A

Join us every Thursday at 10:00 a.m. on Facebook Live for fitness-related question and answers. 

 Games Galore (Zoom)

July 15, 29 and August 12, 26 – 1:00pm: Games Galore (16+) alternate Wednesdays (7684)

Join us for a fun, brain stimulating hour to socialize and play some games that will have you thinking and guessing! From “Categories” to “Fact or Fiction” and everything in between, you will enjoy the friendly competition with new friends.

Join us for a 30 minute trivia challenge on ZOOM. Challenge your quick thinking and knowledge with a variety of questions. This program is open to all ages (We recommend a parent/guardian help if their child would like to participate). Please register for each trivia you would like to participate in. An email will be sent to you prior to the start time that will include your waiver form and link to the Zoom call. All waiver forms must be sent back prior to the ZOOM session to be able to participate. 

August 20 - 1:00 p.m.: Nature and Animal Trivia (7664)

Every Friday we will offer something new and exciting! This week challenge your knowledge of road safety with this short quiz that will help you learn the newest rules of the road. Melanie from the Ministry of Transportation will be joining us for this fun and informative quiz.
